Some are born with a disability that prevents paid work. But capitalism has also always required people to work so hard that they get work-preventing illnesses or disabilities. In the past, such people received a good sickness allowance, a good old-age pension and the opportunity for a life where they could also pursue their dreams. This must be reintroduced if people are to continue to dare to sacrifice their mental and physical health for the state and capital.
Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater
Once someone is deemed disabled and unable to work part-time or full-time, we must not apply Reinfeldt's line of work to the same person by having rigid legal requirements and substandard regulations. In the normal case, disabled people with sickness benefits will not be able to stand on the assembly line. Then we cannot have a line of work for coercion and legal uncertainty that assumes that 95% of disabled people are lazy and must be forced to support themselves. The labor market is stressful and demanding, which most of the disabled cannot cope with. It is better that the disabled person then gets the legal and financial conditions that exist to create a fulfilling life in his own way. It would be equality before the law for the disabled. Better job opportunities
Part-time sick leavers and part-time sick leavers must be given better opportunities to work based on their ability. Make it so that these groups can demand that an advertised full-time position be converted into a part-time position on their job offer if the applicant has the right skills. Then the salary contribution must be able to be so high that competitiveness is sufficient even for part-time sick people with a high working height. This applies e.g. disabled people with a longer education and extensive experience. Let the long-term sick have the right to take courses at universities to a certain extent in their spare time. Then they can continue to assert themselves in the competition. Then part-time sick people are often referred to hourly jobs but too sensitive to stress to start a business. There must be opportunities for long-term sick people to keep their unemployment insurance and for a longer period of time freelance or receive royalties. It is stupid to lock up people with long-term illness so that they cannot contribute according to their ability.
The few disabled people who can support themselves probably do this best through outreach and encouraging but not demanding care and care that presents opportunities instead of ultimate restrictions.
Positive energy increases productivity
Then happier disabled people can spread more positive energy around them. It can contribute to the productivity and health of their relatives, which in turn produces the same reinforcing effects. The book Jämlikhetsanden shows that the unequal insecurity of the weak lowers productivity and psycho-social functioning not only for ordinary people but also for the very richest.
Then disabled people can keep life in mass media, books, cultural producers, sports associations, leisure activities, cafes, museums, streaming sites, etc. if they can afford it financially and legally to do so.
