Unemployment has increased under the bourgeois government. For every job created through tax cuts, more could have been created through the expansion of the understaffed, socially beneficial public sector. At the same time, only every third job seeker receives any unemployment insurance at all.
"Labour market committee chairman Tomas Tobé (M) writes, among other things, in Expressen:
The employment tax deduction, the changes in the A fund and the health insurance together with better conditions for business and entrepreneurship have led to an increase in employment by 172 people since 000." (Source Non-aligned Sweden)
Despite the fact that the method has been hacked, citizens report the unemployment statistics in absolute numbers. In relative terms, where you compare the number who got a job with the number added to the labor market, employment has decreased. Even the bourgeois newspaper Expressen admits it. According to that newspaper's factual information, youth unemployment has increased from 19,9% during the last year of the Social Democrats' government to 20,8% in December 2011.
At the same time, citizens have made the unemployment insurance more restrictive. This has led to:
- 64% of jobseekers do not receive unemployment benefits
- Only 20% of jobseekers under the age of 25 received compensation from unemployment insurance last year.
- Only 25% of young jobseekers received social benefits
Combining a non-functioning labor market policy with restrictive unemployment insurance creates misery, perhaps even homelessness and starvation for many.
Solutions to reduce unemployment:
– expand the public sector. The cost of a job created through a tax cut is priceless. The Ministry of Finance has calculated the self-financing rate per job created through the employment tax credit to be 40-50%. That would mean that we could replace every private job created through the employment tax credit with 2 jobs in the public sector, which is severely understaffed and also useful to society.
- increase the possibilities of reading out one's grade on komvux
- expand the labor market education and make it possible for the long-term unemployed who have run out of study funds to learn a new skill even at university with development money paid for by the public sector.
Since due to constant streamlining, automation, financial crisis and outsourcing to low-wage countries, we will not see full employment for the foreseeable future, we must have generous rules for unemployment benefits, social benefits, sickness benefits and sickness benefits so that people do not end up in poverty and misery.

Unemployment has increased under the bourgeois government. The reimbursements have become more difficult to obtain. Excuse me, but who wins in this? Not the majority of the population, anyway.
