Many people feel impractical in the home. Most can do the classically female chores such as cleaning, washing, cooking and baking. But many more feel insecure when it comes to things as simple as changing a light bulb or plug to more complicated things like drilling and inserting a plug or screw a leaking faucet.
Could this be because domestic education primarily teaches students a basic understanding of female household chores, while hardly spending any time at all on the more classically male tasks? So rework home education so that it teaches both sexes a basic knowledge of the classically male as well as female household chores.
