Sweden needs teachers who feel well and a school that functions well. Small and medium-sized companies, large companies - they all need a workforce with good skills. The knowledge requirements are also increasing. In such a situation, it is irresponsible not to raise teachers' salaries and create a good working environment.
The teachers' union counts that it will 65 teachers are missing in 2025. Up to 38 teachers have already left the profession. What do we need to do to greatly improve conditions?
The most important measures, in our opinion, is :
- Smaller groups
- More work peace-Give the teachers staff support in the form of more counselors and assistants.
- Less administration-Reintroduce administrative support, e.g. office secretary.
- Higher wage-Allocate more of GDP to the education sector.
- Strongly regulate/ban profit withdrawals in independent schools-Tax money must go to students. Not to owner.
- First state public school-Municipalities are not up to the task. We need an equivalent school.
A solid investment at the school will generate many new jobs. In addition, purchasing power will increase within a large group in society. This in turn leads to increased growth.
