If you know that in case of unemployment you have to look for any job, in other words the worst possible job as it is easier to get them, then you will accept deterioration in the working conditions at your own workplace. You then know that unemployment is very likely to lead to an even worse job.
In order for working conditions to remain good, the unemployed should therefore be allowed to limit their job search during an early stage of their unemployment. The limitation should be as far as possible to the best job for which they are competent, fully or substantially fully trained and/or experienced. If they do not find such work after a generous search period, they should be able to receive advice on how to broaden their search. However, consideration should always be given to the fact that the jobs these individuals are forced to apply for are reasonably good from a working environment and salary point of view.
Employers who offer the worst jobs are much more likely to improve the conditions for those jobs only if they are forced to fight hard to attract workers.
