As a leftist, I also believe in the individual's responsibility and ability. But even if a certain work is necessary, it is the Worker and the Worker who are the subjects of society and not Capital.
We need to make some effort. But we also have the right to favorable conditions so that we can flourish not only to create profit for the entrepreneur but also to be able to follow our heart's innermost dreams. I also believe that solidarity can mean that society as a whole can produce more without the individual having to exert as much effort as he would have had to do on his own. If we cooperate, we create reasonable and meaningful jobs for everyone according to ability, but take care of each other when we are unemployed, sick, old, young or in any way unable to work.
I agree with everything. For me the Truth is beyond block, left/right. I wake up more and more (I feel) and feel that there is a lack of a philosophical (love of knowledge) underpinning to the political debate in general. If we do not understand the concepts that underlie how we interact with reality, such as money, the individual, the collective, etc., it becomes very difficult to make sensible decisions. To me it goes without saying that we are a collective...of individuals on spaceship Earth. So, everyone needs food, that's the ultimate truth, and that includes knowledge, work, tools, etc. It seems to me that it makes more sense to gather locally and reconnect with nature, in that people are getting closer to self-sufficiency and volunteering for it which is beneficial for Life. You can more easily see where you can benefit and gain a sense of belonging. But now I "flummer out" a little, so we live in the system we live in today. What I can never agree to is that a group of people should be able to vote (delegate their will) in a group of people who will then have "authority" and force me to pay money ("tax") and decide what applies via "laws" . I am made for a better world, and I think we all are. But as it stands now, we must spread the enlightenment, and grow out of our mental cell, review confirmed indoctrination, with myths about representative democracy, state, money's inherent "value", eternal "growth", so really the whole thing I am referring to as the "Death Machine", humanity's collective manifestation of insanity in action. You are much more educated about everything real than I am, so my comment might be strange, but I hope we understand each other. I believe enlightened, good people can do good regardless of the system. Etc. Peace
Cooperation e.g. in the form of representative democracy has enabled us to produce enormous wealth much more easily. Even an enterprising individual can do very little without the help of the collective. Cooperation is what modern biology says made man master the earth. I don't trust voluntary solidarity.
Tax is needed. The poor and weak must not live at the mercy of the currently powerful. Then I do not trust that those who are strong at the moment will stand up and do enough charity so that multitudes of the weak at the moment will not perish.
Laws are also necessary. It cannot be of free will that we refrain from killing each other as we feel. Then one should not legislate unnecessarily.
