The right-wing writer Per Gudmundson claims in SvD that if we ban profits in welfare, a lot of private welfare institutions would be closed down and disappear. That is not the case.
When private kindergartens and homes for the elderly are taken over by municipalities in Sweden, they continue to be run with the same staff, only with a new principal. Often the staff and users also get better conditions. However, there will be no profits taken from the business to private capitalists.
