Be efficient or starve!
Work or die!
Such sense morality is neither civilized nor economically sound.
In a civilized society, not only the top minds and entrepreneurs should have a good time. Everyone should be fine, even if some may be a little better. If you reward the few elite too much, everything accumulates and is taken out of the economic circulation or consumption of goods and services. It is thus not only ethical to redistribute the income to benefit the majority, but also nationally sound.
The 2008 financial crisis in the USA, which is still hitting the world hard, was a result of wages falling behind for 30 years in the USA. Trade was kept going through loans, e.g. the unsecured subprime loans. However, loans must be repaid with interest in addition. In the end, this pyramid scheme collapsed.
We must redistribute the profits and income of the elite through social insurance, subsidies, full employment policies and fair wage setting.
