In Landskrona, the bourgeois government tried to force welfare recipients to work in order to receive social benefits. This was found to be illegal. Now the government plans to change the rules to enable the Landskrona model. The Social Democrats seem willing to support the proposal.
This is a dangerous model. It is important to make a distinction between pay that you perform for work compared to benefits that are paid out without any other requirement in return than that you look for a job. If you mix up the definitions, there is a big risk that you will make large parts of the population without wage-entitled work, as it is cheaper for customers to hire the municipality's social assistance proletarians.
Then many weak groups among the social welfare recipients may be left without any compensation at all as they are unable to work. For example, drug addicts, alcoholics, uninsured from the social insurance systems, etc.
If there are tasks to perform, then hire people with wages and conditions in accordance with the collective agreement!
