When the income spread is low and everyone earns reasonably well, society is doing well. Everyone can afford to consume and development is moving forward. Since no wages are cut, we all continue to earn a little more each year. The (New) Liberals want to change this. The (New) Liberals propose instead that the spread of income should increase. It is particularly important to set up so-called "starter job" (p. 42):
"In that case, our proposal is to introduce a new form of employment where the salary is lower, the income tax is low and the employer's contributions are abolished.
In a starting job, the monthly salary must be between SEK 14 and 000. No employer contributions shall be paid and collectively agreed insurance shall not have to be paid"
It may seem fair that the tax is reduced for low wages. But it's a sham. The important thing is that a group's wages are reduced so that wages can be reduced in a big way. If the labor market partners do not negotiate on wages, we will soon find ourselves in a situation where a right-wing majority could lower our wages through a parliamentary decision. Our neoliberal party is well aware of this.
Moreover writes ETC about how profits have increased by 120% in the largest companies in recent years. Wages, on the other hand, have only increased by 1,2%. This is exacerbating the tendency towards ever stronger and more frequent debt crises we have only seen in recent decades.
