Wages for different professions should be similar because all professions are needed and because all jobs require sacrifices in their own way. Some have an aptitude for the theoretical, others for the practical. Some for both. Everything is valuable and nothing should pay for different.
The person who gets an education can be more diligent in school and think more, but the person who gets a practical job is physically toiling and often risks work-related injuries.
However, the society we live in offers many advantages thanks to the fact that it is an industrialized knowledge society. For society to remain that way, we need to motivate people to educate themselves. Therefore, it should be acceptable for those who are educated at post-secondary level to earn SEK 5-000 more per month than those who are not educated. However, the wage differences between people with different types of education should be minimal, as it is difficult to determine who is needed more than the other.
However, those who have not been educated are still worth a salary that allows a little luxury in life. 20 a month a person with an unskilled job should receive as a starting salary at the price level prevailing at the time of writing this post.
