Both blocks have distanced itself from what is socially and economically sustainable at the grassroots level. The right lives in a dream world where workers can pay their rent and consume enough to keep the market going, without getting a salary to speak of or even a job. The right believes that if we are just a little stricter with those we have sacked in the suburbs, they will not cause or have social problems.
The left, for its part, believes that if we make another law at the level of detail, we can make the person at the grassroots level a saint.
The right must realize that people need socio-economic conditions and security to flourish. The left must understand the fact that however benevolent social engineering is, it cannot create infallible persons.
The power should expire from the people. "If the goal of social development were for us all to work to the maximum, we would be insane. The goal is to free man to create maximally. Dance, paint, sing - Yes, whatever you want. Freedom!" (Unknown author of the quote.)
