We need to create a working life with meaningful tasks, a level of activity sufficient to create a reasonable profit for the owners at a realistic level not only for the strongest workers and time for recovery.
Then I think more people would feel they could work. I also don't think we need to take such huge profits as today. The profit must only be adequate, so that in the calculation of the size of the profit, it is assumed that the level of activity must be reasonable for all the workers.
If we invest in a higher degree of automation, this is possible. It's probably already possible with the high level of automation we have today, if society wasn't so heavily controlled to benefit the absolute minority of big capitalists.
Let the machines work more and the people less!
