One of the few positive effects noted in the evaluations of the liberal reforms is more pharmacies with longer opening hours. Unfortunately, it is of no great joy to those who are most in need of the pharmacies, i.e. the chronically ill, as it is unusual for more advanced medicines to be in stock. It seems that it is the corporations – not the citizens – who have profited primarily from the last quarter century's privatizations of formerly public activities.
So, what can the engaged citizen do? Dare to talk politics everywhere and vote red-green.
