I think the work ideal for today's citizens should be hard work to achieve the goals with greater ease, freedom and equality tomorrow. That is how, through the great hardships of 1800th century people, we were doing so well in the decades before the introduction of the lean organizations of the 1980s. With all the labor-saving technology we have introduced in recent decades, excessive hard work should not be so necessary today.
The most important hard work we can do is to learn more about the world, society and the economy so that we get inspiration for new solutions to our current and future problems. At the same time, an educated public can critically scrutinize and expose even public fraudsters.
