Reinfeldt admitted during Sunday's debate duel with Löfvén on SVT that he wants to see more low-wage jobs in Sweden. Apart from the fact that this goes against ideals such as solidarity and equality, the cost situation is too high for us to be able to bring the minimum wages down to such a low level that we would be able to compete with the low-wage countries for jobs. Instead, increase the opportunities for education and further education throughout life so that Swedes can take the high-paying jobs that arise. And restore social security so that those who do not have a job or can work can survive and maintain consumption in society. Moreover, the rationalization of the private sector has gone so far and is apace even further that we must expand the public sector to maintain full employment. And jobs in the public sector are needed both for the welfare of the people and the functionality of the business world.
