Aftonbladet writes today about how venture capitalists in welfare takes out tens of millions every year in compensation of various kinds. The journalists Carolina Neurath and Jan Almgren are behind the disclosure in the book "The Swedish Venture Capitalists".
Björn Savén, Chairman of the IC, plays down the importance of the high compensations:
"- Our salaries have never been very high, I think my salary has never exceeded SEK 10 million per year."
That's how it often looks in the private business world. Nothing unusual in that world. But. What makes this completely unique is that the profits are based on our tax dollars. We are the ones who have financed the businesses from which they profit. As is quite rightly stated in Neurath and Almgren's book, the staff density is lower and the hourly employees more in these companies.
