High taxes are awesome. It saves lives. Without it, those who cannot bear to work would have starved to death. It also helps us maintain an almost free healthcare, school and elderly care and more. The income from the tax can be used to mitigate recessions that could otherwise force people from their homes. It also provides work for many. The tax revenue can save banks and companies in crisis. Taxes can subsidize the construction of rental apartments that people can afford to live in. It redistributes income from those who get too much of the pie to the low-income earners. Tax is awesome!
