The number of people who sick leave due to stress has increased significantly in recent years. Försäkringskassan writes:
"The most common diagnosis is acute stress reaction. It corresponds to 14 percent of all cases of illness. The number of people with an acute stress reaction has increased from approximately 15 in 000 to 2012 in 26.”
The proportion of young people who feel worried about the future is now up to 42%, according to one survey from Linnaeus University:
"42% of Sweden's young people state that they are worried when they think about their own future."
Is this a social development that we can accept? No. There are strong reasons to talk about how we actually feel in our workplaces, in our schools and in other environments. It is only by talking about the problem that we can do something about it.
Remember: Lack resources, understaffing and profit maximization are the employer's responsibility. Not the staff's. It is the employer who leads and distributes the work, not the other way around.
