Comedian Jonathan Pie shows with pinpoint brilliance in the video below how Trickle-down economics with his mantra: "Help the rich! Punish the poor!” not working. Trickle-down economics does not build a strong economy nor a strong welfare. Put simply, it leads to a very difficult existence for those who have the least.
Even many high achievers in a Trickle-down economics society have to settle for an existence as a pool attendant.
Should our societies grow and survive in a time of war and approaching/ongoing natural disasters, invest in
- green technology,
- equality
- deficit policy
- good, cheap and beautiful housing for all
- immigration for the sake of ethics and productivity
- a progressive and effective criminal policy
- freedom under responsibility and well-functioning individuals through collective security
- public sector for purchasing power and employment
- and research.
Karin Pihl, editorial writer at Göteborgs-Posten writes in his chronicle that Thatcher's reforms are already done. It is not possible, as Truss did in a country with a tightly disciplined and vulnerable working class, to say that this working class is lazy and just wants to drink beer and watch sports. Thatcher's reforms have already been done and today other solutions are required. The market seems to be fed up with neoliberalism and the trickle down theory.
In the same way are Reinfeldt's reforms mostly on pain to starve the working class and many academics to take the lowest paying, toughest jobs that are already done. It should not work economically for Kristersson's government to starve ordinary people even more. Even starving them with welfare does not work.
Freedom, equality and good jobs for all who can and welfare for those in need is the answer.
This is not the time to discuss Thatcher and her proselyte Annie Lööf has resigned. Reinfeldt is just as dead. He was not even allowed to become chairman of the basketball association.
Please discuss present tense!
Trickle-down economics is exactly what the current government is pushing in a radical way and which the January agreement was pushing in a milder form before that.
One solution – Revolution!
